Remembering the Events of Sept. 11, 2001

Fellow Navy Leaguers,

Sept. 11 is a day no American can forget. What started out like a normal Tuesday morning quickly became a pinpoint in American history. Eighteen years later, we still mourn the victims of those horrendous attacks. Yet at the same time, Sept. 11 has become not just a day of mourning but a day of unification — Americans coming together to honor the memory of those who lost their lives.  Today is also a reminder of how important our mission truly is, with the sea services playing a pivotal role in creating a stronger nation.  Please take the time to observe a moment of silence today, unifying us as an organization and a nation.
